Dear Parents,
Advent continues to be a joyful and busy season here at St. Stephen’s, and this past week was full of moments that remind us just how special this time of year is. The building has truly been alive with excitement as we’ve enjoyed concerts, dress-up days, classroom celebrations, and even a fun hunt for the Elf on the Shelf. Sharing these days with our students and families has been such a gift.
On Monday evening, our students filled the church with beautiful music during our Annual PreK–5 Advent Concert, directed by Mrs. Douglas. It was a wonderful night of singing and reflection, and a meaningful way for our students to help lead us in preparing our hearts for Christmas.
Following school Mass on Wednesday, we announced the winners of our “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. The artwork was thoughtful and faith-filled, and we are proud of all the students who took the time to participate.
Immediately after Mass, our 4th–8th grade band students shared their talents during the mid-year Band Concert under the direction of Mrs. Amy Nelson. The students’ hard work and growth were evident, and we are grateful to Mrs. Nelson and our band members for their dedication and commitment.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our School Angels, who faithfully show up each Tuesday morning to help with a variety of projects around the school. This week, they brought along some extra holiday spirit as well, reminding us that service is even better when it’s paired with joy and a few smiles. We are so thankful for the time, care, and love they continue to give to our school community.
As we move deeper into Advent, we are grateful for these moments to gather, celebrate, and reflect together. Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our school and one another during this special season.

Thank you, Lang Family, for declaring Monday, December 22, 2025 an OUT OF UNIFORM DAY for the WHOLE school! The Lang family purchased the St. Stephen School Mardi Gras basket last year during the auction, and one of the coupons was for an OUT OF UNIFORM DAY for the school! HOMEWORK HELP CLUB
TRIMESTER 2 REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!
Hello St. Stephen’s families! Ms. Furness is excited to offer Homework Help Club on Wednesdays from 2:10–2:55 PM throughout the second trimester for students in 1st-4th grade. Sessions will begin on Wednesday, January 14th and continue through Wednesday, March 4th.
The cost is $20 per week, and space is limited—be sure to reserve your spot before registration closes on Friday, December 19th.

NON-UNIFORM PASSES FOR SALE
Non-uniform passes are once again for sale in the school office! They make great Christmas gifts! They are $5 each, or 5 for $20. Maximum of FIVE per child.
LOST AND FOUND OVERFLOWING
Our Lost and Found is once again OVERFLOWING! If you are missing a hat, mitten, jacket, boot, or a piece of uniform clothing, it is most likely in the Lost and Found bin. Please come in and take a peek when your pick up or drop off your child! The bin is located inside the front doors of the school.
LUNCHROOM NEWS
All K-8 students are eating for free this year. Preschool students will need to pay for their lunch. If your K-8 student orders an extra entree, or extra milk, the prices below will apply.
Lunch prices for 2025 are as follows:
Preschool students: $4.25
Adults: $5.00
Extras: $2.00
Milk: $.75
DECEMBER BREAKFAST MENU 2025
To ensure a consistent and safe environment for all our students, we will no longer permit the use of restaurant carry-out food for lunch, regardless of the reason. However, you are welcome to sign in at the office and join your child in the cafeteria to sit together, or purchase an adult lunch (please call the office in the morning to place your lunch order) to share the experience. Thank you for your understanding and support as we move forward with this change.
Reminder: Per the St. Stephen's Handbook, POP AND ENERGY DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the cafeteria. If they are brought into the cafeteria, they will be thrown away immediately.
