NWEA TESTING
For the next three weeks, 9/19, 9/26, and 10/3, students in grades 2-8 will be taking NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) MAP tests (Measures of Academic Progress). These tests are given nationally. The tests measure progress and growth for each individual student. Students will be tested in reading, language arts, and math. Families will be provided with test results.
It is very important that children get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast, low on sugar, every morning, but especially the mornings in which they will be tested. Here is a link to suggested breakfast foods for test days:
Please make it a priority that your child goes to bed early and eats a healthy breakfast to set them up for success on NWEA test days, and of course, throughout the year.
MARATHON KICK-OFF
We kicked off our Marathon with a pep-fest on Tuesday! The students were so excited and thought of many creative ways to raise money for our school. Selling pictures they color, raking leaves for a neighbor, or babysitting for family! Packets were sent home this week, and can be turned in any time before the Marathon event on October 9, following the 10:30 AM Mass. Please join our community in this fun-filled event raising awareness for Catholic schools nationwide.
